Citibase Supports Young Entrepreneurs with FREE office space in its Horsham Business Centre in West Sussex

Launch of Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (“YES”) initiative

Citibase PLC, the fast growing serviced-office company to cost conscious small and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”) from 36 Business Centres nationwide, has launched a scheme to help the next generation of young entrepreneurs to get their business ideas off the ground by providing free office space in its Centres across the UK to start-up and small business owners aged between 18 and 24 years old, for up to one year.

In Citibase’s Horsham Business Centre in West Sussex, located at The Courtyard,30 Worthing Road, Horsham,West Sussex, RH12 1SL, the Company is offering between 18 to 24 workstations, with Internet access, free of charge, to young entrepreneurs.  This initiative is being replicated at other Citibase Centres inSussexand nationwide.

The Young Entrepreneurs Scheme or YES initiative is in line with the Government’s attempts to boost the UK economy from the grass roots and Citibase, working in parallel with the Government’s ‘Business in You’ scheme* Business in You, is delighted to help set up, nurture and support new enterprises and budding entrepreneurs looking to get their ideas and dreams off the ground.

With 60 per cent of private sector jobs created by start-up and small firms, both initiatives are looking to encourage young people to make 2012 the year of enterprise by taking the leap to start up a business or grow an existing one – to develop ideas, write a business plan, employ more staff and start exporting.

Tracey Grubb, Customer Service Manager in Horsham, said: “This is such a fantastic scheme and I am really pleased that we can give a helping hand to local young start-ups in the early stages of their development.  We are also particularly pleased that the Government has recognised that giving flexible accommodation to entrepreneurs is a key pathway to economic growth.”

Launching the 'Business in You' initiative on 24 January 2012, Prime Minister David Cameron said: "Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the British economy and I am determined that we, working with the private sector, do everything we can to help them start- up and grow in 2012."

* The ‘Business In You’ is a partnership between private enterprise and Government to highlight support for start-ups and growing businesses and encourage entrepreneurial spirit in 2012 to boost economic growth.
