Another Win for Sussex Business - Carters Domestic Appliances

Another win for Sussex business Carters Domestic Appliances as it picked up the ‘Best UK Domestic Appliance Retailer’ award for 2012.

The company has seven shops across Sussex, including one in Horsham, and a warehouse outlet in Storrington. The prestigious prize was awarded at the Electrical Retailing Times Awards 2012 held in London in October.

The latest award is one of a number of prizes the business has won over the last few years.

Carters also won ‘The UK’s Best White Goods Store’ award in 2008 and 2009 as well as ‘The UK’s Best Euronics Store 2010’.   The business was also awarded ‘The UK’s Best Large Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer’ award earlier this year in June by the Electrical Independent Retailer magazine.

Cllr Roger Paterson, Horsham District Council’s Cabinet Member for the Local Economy, said: “Many congratulations to Carters for winning the 2012 award for ‘Best UK Domestic Appliance Retailer’.

“Carters' remarkable success - because this is only one of many retail awards the company has won in recent years - is an object lesson on how well managed retailers can effectively use the Internet to support their retail outlets.

“Well done Carters and best wishes for many more prize winning years in Horsham!”

Robert Carter, Managing Director of Carters Domestic Appliances, said:
“We are very proud to have won this national award against extremely able opposition and would like to think it recognises the importance we place on customer service and keen prices in the marketplace.”
